“Evolving the value of transport” in an age of uncertainty

— Transforming into a Commercial Mobility Solutions Company —

Since the dawn of Japan’s automotive industry, Isuzu Motors has contributed to the development of society and industry by supporting the movement of goods around the world for more than a century. We take pride in and responsibility for supporting transport. The trust we have built over many years—grounded in reliability and peace of mind—is one of our greatest strengths.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all our stakeholders, including our customers, partners, shareholders and investors, local communities, and employees, who have supported us throughout our journey.

Today, the environment surrounding us is undergoing significant change. Efforts toward carbon neutrality, technological innovations such as electrification and autonomous driving, structural changes in logistics, as well as geopolitical risks and labor shortages are driving an unprecedented level of uncertainty.

Throughout our history, our mission has been to address the many challenges associated with transport. As the environment surrounding society and logistics continues to change dramatically, we will build on our reputation for reliability while continuously creating new value through bold transformation, passing this spirit on to the next generation.

In such an era, companies are required not to pursue short-term optimization, but to maintain a steadfast axis for decision-making and continue to move forward steadily amid change. With ISUZU ID as our guiding principle, we are advancing our mid-term business plan, ISUZU Transformation (IX), and evolving into a Commercial Mobility Solutions Company.

This is not merely an expansion of our business. It is a challenge to create new value by evolving the very form of transport, with a commitment to solve societal and logistics issues. To realize this, we will work together as one Isuzu Group—uniting management and frontline operations, our global group companies, and our partners.

As part of this transformation, we are focusing on three key priorities:

  • First, transforming our business model with a customer-value perspective.
  • Second, building an optimal portfolio of products and services to support different regions and global growth.
  • Third, maximizing the capabilities of our diverse talent and strengthening teams that can respond to change with agility.

Furthermore, solving societal challenges cannot be achieved by a single company alone. We will further deepen collaboration with our alliance partners and co-create value through continuous dialogue.

Isuzu will continue to fulfill its mission of supporting transport while creating new value. To remain an indispensable presence in society, we will unite our strengths and steadily advance our transformation.

We sincerely appreciate your continued support.

At Isuzu Motors South Africa, our journey is built on a foundation of trust, resilience and shared progress. For over six decades, we have proudly served South Africa and the continent, delivering vehicles that embody reliability, durability, and strength. Our purpose is clear: to move society forward. We achieve this by creating transport solutions that make a real impact, while contributing to skills development, job creation, and sustainability in the communities we serve. These efforts reflect our belief that business growth and societal progress must go hand in hand.
